Dr. William E. Refvem is a board-certified physician who has built a reputation in Mount Airy for combining clinical excellence with genuine compassion. He understands that healthcare is not one-size-fits-all — and every treatment plan is tailored to the individual.
With a career spanning decades, Dr. Refvem has seen the evolution of primary care from the inside. He brings that depth of experience to every visit — whether it's a routine wellness exam, a complex chronic condition, or an urgent concern that keeps you up at night.
His practice is rooted in the belief that the best outcomes come from a real partnership between doctor and patient. That means taking the time to listen, explaining your options clearly, and never making you feel like a number.
